Building on the strong reception of Triumph’s 400 twins—the Scrambler 400X and Speed 400—in the Nepalese market, Triumph Motorcycles Nepal is preparing to expand its lineup with the Scrambler 400 XC, a more off-road-focused variant of the Scrambler 400X, expected to launch soon.
While the Scrambler 400 XC carries forward the same design language of the 400X, it brings several functional upgrades aimed at enhanced off-road capability. The most notable addition is the tubeless spoked wheels, retaining the familiar 19-inch front and 17-inch rear setup, along with the same tyre sizes (100/90 front and 140/80 rear).

Further reinforcing its adventure-ready character, the XC variant features a raised front fender, a metal engine guard in place of the plastic unit, and a small windscreen. These additions not only improve protection and usability on rough terrain but also give the motorcycle a more rugged visual presence. As a result, the Scrambler 400 XC weighs approximately 5 kg more than the Scrambler 400X.
On the mechanical front, the Scrambler 400 XC remains unchanged. It is powered by the same 398.15 cc single-cylinder engine, delivering 39.4 bhp and 37.5 Nm of torque. The motorcycle is built around a tubular steel frame with a bolt-on rear subframe, paired with a 43 mm USD front fork and a rear monoshock, both offering 150 mm of suspension travel.
Feature-wise, the upcoming Scrambler 400 XC continues to offer a comprehensive equipment list, including ride-by-wire throttle, switchable traction control, slipper clutch, USB-C charging port, and an engine immobiliser. The semi-digital instrument cluster combines an analogue speedometer with a digital display showing gear position, tachometer, trip information, and fuel level.

Adding to its appeal, the Scrambler 400 XC will debut in three new colour options—Racing Yellow, Storm Grey, and Vanilla White—each highlighted with vintage-style racing stripes on the fuel tank and windscreen.
